Coming Home To Self

What guides you when your mind won’t stop racing?

Our minds can feel like turbulent waters, jumping from one thought to the next, caught in the currents of endless to-do lists, decisions, and distractions. It’s no wonder we lose focus, perspective, and sometimes even ourselves in the process.

And yet, beneath all of that movement, there is a deeper current. A quiet, steady knowing. An ancient and enduring part of us that always has our highest good in mind. This is the inner guidance system we can return to if we pause long enough to listen.

That pause can take many forms. Some of us find it through activities like running, swimming, yoga, or surfing. Others sit in meditation, practise mindfulness or breathwork or simply walk among trees. Each practice is an access point to drop below the turbulent surface into the deep still waters where we find peace, clarity and knowing.

For me, sitting in silence feels like coming home. From that place, everything becomes lighter, decisions sharper, and life steadier.

What about you? What practice helps you come home to yourself and lead from that place of clarity?
