Fractional Strategy & Leadership Partner

For purpose-led organisations with momentum, who need a clearer strategy, stronger leadership and simple systems to support sustainable growth.
Let's Talk

Helping leaders build.

I work with social enterprises, not-for-profits and growing small businesses that are rich in purpose and opportunity, but stretched by the realities of growth.

In a focused fractional role, I bring strategy, leadership support and structure so your organisation can grow without burning people out.

Is this you?

This is a fit if:

  • You’re growing fast it feels exciting and precarious

  • There’s lots of activity and goodwill, but no clear, shared strategy and alignment

  • Leaders are carrying people and culture issues and big decisions alone

  • Volunteers or staff are at risk of burnout

  • You don’t need a full-time executive, but you do need senior leadership support in the mix

I’m especially at home in social enterprises, not-for-profits and small businesses with a social impact lens.

I am a generalist and very adaptable, but these are key areas of expertise:

  • Turning energy into a clear, shared direction. Clarifying what you’re here to do, who you serve and what you will (and won’t) focus on in the next 12–24 months.

  • Coaching and supporting founders and key leaders as they navigate growth and change. Designing simple leadership rhythms – meetings, 1:1s, decision forums – that keep everyone aligned and accountable.

  • Bringing a social impact lens and governance experience to connect your impact, strategy and brand, so funders, boards and partners can clearly see the value you create and where you’re heading.

  • Spotting gaps and friction in your customer and internal experience, then designing simple, human processes and ways of working your team can run. Just enough structure to create clarity and consistency, without bureaucracy.

I work at the strategic and leadership level, so your organisation can grow in a way that’s sustainable for your people and your mission.

Case Study

EMERGENCY MEDICINE ULTRASOUND GROUPS

From “Dying on the Resus Table” to Sustainable, Volunteer-Led Growth

When I first joined EMUGs, it was a year-old movement: passionate, fast-growing and entirely volunteer-led.

There was huge demand and a clear mission, but no strategy, no governance and fragile operations.

Admin staff were burning out, work was being duplicated and there was no clear pathway for funding or structure.

In a fractional Strategy & Leadership role, I:

  • Led the development of a clear strategy and shared priorities

  • Helped recruit a board and establish basic governance

  • Centralised operations and designed structures for a growing volunteer community

  • Coached the founder through the transition to the next phase of growth

EMUGs became an organised, volunteer-led entity: clearer direction, stronger leadership, more events, significantly increased sponsorship revenue and a stable international volunteer team.

  • “I have worked with Stacey guiding a Not-for-Profit organisation for over 5 years. I can safely say that without her expertise, drive and wise counsel, the organisation would not have made such great strides with growing awareness, community involvement, and finding a solid financial footing. We have confidence in our future and where we are heading thanks to Stacey who was responsible for keeping everyone on track. If I was to have my own business, I would absolutely want her running it.”

  • “Stacey has been a powerhouse of organisation, cheer and font of knowledge in promoting, maintaining and progressing EMUGS. With a group of enthusiastic doctors on joining, she has herded the cats and generated a group across Australia and New Zealand with a clear focus and purpose in spreading the use and education of point of care ultrasound. As one of those cats that need herding she has mentored and coached us to be more effective in reaching our goals. I would recommend her in teaching/mentoring or coaching these leadership skills for others. She has much to give in this.”

Dr Alastair Maclean - Doctor & Director

  • “I have worked with Stacey for the last two years. Over that time, she has been invaluable to our organisation. Her vision, organisational skills, knowledge of corporate culture and adaptability have helped our organisation transform from a network of state-based groups to a cohesive and unified Australasian organisation, with a stronger membership base and leadership team. And additionally, she is the best meeting facilitator I have ever had the pleasure to work with! We have been incredibly fortunate to have Stacey on board, and look forward to continuing our journey, with her invaluable contribution, in the future.”
